Help a family in Panama, directly
On October 9, 2026, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Panama near Tonosí. The worst damage is in the provinces of Los Santos, Herrera, Veraguas and Coclé: homes, schools, health centers, bridges and roads. On this site, affected families publish their own case and you send help straight to their account.
How it works
- 1. Families publish their case — their story, photos of the damage and how they can receive help.
- 2. You choose who to help. The list shows first the families who have received the least.
- 3. You send directly from your own app. 100% reaches the family: this site charges nothing and never handles money.
Sending from abroad
Panama uses the US dollar. Families can receive by Zelle, PayPal or a Western Union / MoneyGram remittance, which work from abroad, and by Yappy, Nequi or ACH bank transfer, which need a Panamanian bank account. Each case shows which methods the family accepts.
Sending from outside Panama?
Panama uses the US dollar. From abroad you can send via Zelle, PayPal or a remittance when the family accepts them.
Before you send, check the name
Yappy and Nequi show the account holder's name before you confirm. If it doesn't match the case, don't send and report it. An ACH bank transfer may not show it: use the holder name on the case. We do not verify identities, and each case says what we checked and what we didn't. Nobody from this site will ever ask you for money.
The cases are written in Spanish by the families themselves. Your browser can translate them for you.
